Egypt–Libya

Land

The boundary between Egypt and Libya extends for 1,112 kilometers from the Mediterranean coast in the north to the tripoint with Sudan in the south. The boundary was first delimited by Italian (Libya) and British (Egypt) colonial powers in 1925, with adjustments made in 1926. The northern section of the boundary, which consists of only twenty-five percent of its total length, was demarcated and approved by a 1938 Procès-verbal. The southern, straight-line section, however, has never been demarcated.
